Loch Lomond Distiller's Choice Single Grain Scotch Whisky

Distiller's Choice is a limited edition single grain whisky distilled using only 100% malted barley in our continuous "Coffey" Still. Matured in a combination of first fill and refill American Oak casks and bottled at 48.8%. This single grain delivers deep floral and fruit, golden barley with a sweet vanilla fudge finish.

Using only single grain made from 100% malted barley, our Master Blender Michael has carefully selected some of our older whiskies and married them together with some more vibrant liquids to produce a whisky with wonderful contrasting character. Matured in a selection of both first fill and refill American Oak casks. 

Michael has chosen to bottle this expression at 48.8% non-chill filtered and at natural colour, just as nature intended.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Deep floral and fruit notes of rose, violet, peach, pear and blackcurrant.

Taste: Silky mouthfeel brining tart fruits of blackberry, green apple, honey and golden barley.

Finish: Long finish of vanilla fudge sweetness and warming cinnamon spice.
