Nose: Date molasses, balsamic, fig jam, old pipe tobacco, ancient Armagnac, immense earthiness and density. A classical, thermonuclear sherry bomb!
Palate: Almost on soy sauce, game salami, roast pheasant, natural tar resins and pine woods. Beautifully herbal, full of bitters, roots, celery salt, umami seasonings, Maggi and prune eau de vie. Madness and brilliance on a razor’s edge!
Finish: Very long, herbal, drying, full of mysterious old teas, broths, savoury infusions, soft medicinal notes and spices.

One of the sweetest, stickiest Benrinnes we've tried, turning the distillery's usual meatiness into a glazed barbecue platter in a fortified-wine cellar. Sticky pork ribs, dates and maple syrup, with the meaty spirit supporting it all underneath.
