Amber Lane Liquid Amber Australian Single Malt Whisky

Showcasing the rich chocolate and spice of sherry cask whisky, Amber Lane master blender Rod Berry has brought together several premium apera and PX casks, with just a dollop of bourbon cask, to create a delicious dram of complexity and sweetness.

This expression has been a crowd favourite at recent whisky shows in Australia, especially for its rich sherry nose. Bottled at 48.0% ABV in a generous 700mL bottle, this is the very first sherry cask expression from rapidly emerging NSW whisky distillery Amber Lane.

The apera cask contribution comes from ex-McWilliams casks, whereas the PX contribution comes from 30+ year old barrels sourced from the renowned Spanish bodega Rey Fernando de Castilla. The bourbon casks used hail from Heaven Hill distillery in Kentucky.
Ambling through a forest, the air is alive with honey, exotic blossoms, and rich earth. Sipping golden nectar from an ancient tree, we savour the comforting flavours of toffee, chocolate-coated honeycomb, maple syrup, orange zest, dried apricots, and figs. A long sweet cinnamon finish.
